Egyptian Princess

This Egyptian Princess is dressed in her exotic finery, and you can just imagine the beauty of the palace she lives in.

Can't you?

She is a delicate beauty in an oasis of privilege and power. Jewels in her hair - hair that is smooth and shiny, braided and twisted.

It is great fun to create the fashion of characters from the past, fantasy or even the future. You are the designer of jewellery and ladies clothing when you draw princesses or fairies.

I think I like this princess of the land of sand and wind, living in a protective palace, with gentle breezes through the marble and sandstone palace.

Enjoy this page, encouraging you to copy by starting with an outline, loosely drawing in her shape, her arms and then start shaping her face.

Long strokes with the pencil will help you to slowly create her hair. When working your own drawing program, keep trying different techniques, and experiment with textures, try braiding her hair, or just copy the beads and jewels that are shown.

Remember to shadow as you draw, wherever skin meets skin, or hair hangs on shoulders, or clothing touches her body, you must shadow, shade and blend.

Close Up

This close up will help you to build the features of her face. She is an egyptian, and it is important to try to capture the features of her race.

You can create an image that captures her beauty. Always feel free to alter what you see here. You can copy my drawings, or just use them for inspiration and capture your own.

I will be creating an invitation to all to submit your drawings, and will have a special area to show them off. Still coming...
